Thomas Varner – President

Thomas Varner is an Oil and Gas and finance leader, with over a decade of large-scale land acquisition projects, budget forecasting, working interest analysis, joint development projects, and financial services. Thomas successfully lead oil and gas development projects with major corporate partners including International Paper Company and Waste Management. Most recently as a senior landman at EQT Thomas independently lead and managed the growth leasing team focusing on large scale development, strategic competitive land analysis and acquisition.
Thomas received his undergraduate degree in finance and an MBA in energy management at Waynesburg University.

Katie Varner – Vice President

Katherine Varner brings over a decade of experience with large E&P’s in the Oil and Gas industry as a Title Abstractor, Heirship Specialist, and Mineral Land Agent in the Appalachian Basin.  Katie has in-depth knowledge and a unique understanding of the complex mineral title and heirship issues.  She attended the California University of Pennsylvania where she received a degree in Communications and has significant experience in marketing and advertising as well.

Sam Ahwesh

Sam graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Economics and a BS in Business. He also holds a JD from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Tepper School of Business. A member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 2010, Sam began his practice in Real Estate and transitioned to Oil and Gas, drafting title opinions in 2011. In 2012 he joined EQT as a landman. Throughout his time at EQT, Sam has worked throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Starting in 2018, he led EQT’s group responsible for reviewing and approving lease bonus payments. Since leaving EQT, Sam has leveraged his industry experience to assist landowners in all manner of land uses.
